CedarCreek Merlot 1995
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExcellent dark color. Coffee, green bean, olive, vanilla, oak toast aromas, some plum fruit. Lovely soft, round, mouth filling cherry and plum fruit with some bitter cherry in the finish. The wine was aged for 18 months in American oak before bottling. The grapes come off youngish King Vineyard, a rolling piece of bench land that sits high above Okanagan Lake at Naramata. Good effort.
