Winspeer International Group Ltd., a premium wine import and distribution company owned by the Trialto Wine Group Ltd. of Vancouver BC has expanded into the important eastern Canada market of Quebec under the company name Altovin International Ltée.

Effective March 1st, 2006 Eric Deguire has joined Altovin International as Quebec Market Manager. Eric comes to us having most recently been the Sales Manager for Western Quebec for Vincor. "Eric brings his strong on-premise relationship with most key buyers to the table" noted Tim Wilkins, General Manager of Winspeer International. "We needed a passionate, energetic rising star who could make things happen for our suppliers in the Quebec market and Eric fit the bill perfectly", Wilkins added

Winspeer/Altovin is an importer-distributor of premium and ultra-premium wines and is now operating in the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec. Mr. Rob Bevis, President of the parent company Trialto Wine Group Ltd said "We want to be able to offer our supplier wineries the ability to be represented in any of the important Canadian markets. With this expansion they can chose to work with us either throughout the west, in either of the central Canada markets, or any combination of those. It is really all about giving our suppliers the ability to choose the markets where they want to partner with us".

"The decision to enter the Quebec market was a relatively easy one once the brands representing over 50% of our current revenue gave us the green light for Quebec" says Tim Wilkins. Eric Deguire noted "Winspeer has some of the best suppliers from regions that are now the fastest growing categories in Quebec. We will be the next wave"

Generally the industry views the Canadian market as three large blocks: the province of Ontario, the province of Quebec and Western Canada (four provinces) as a group. These three blocks are roughly equal in population and turnover. The Maritime provinces are a fourth block accounting for about 5% of the Canadian turnover.

With turnover of approximately $13 million this year Trialto Wine Group Ltd. is one of the fastest growing wine import companies in Canada with average growth over the last seven years of about 35% annually, and for the last two years have been recognized by PROFIT magazine in their annual 100 Fastest Growing Companies of Canada issue. Trialto operates quite uniquely in that they only work with fine wines, and are completely focused on the very top end of the market holding almost 20% of the over $20 retail wine segment in a field of hundreds of competitors in the Western Canadian market.
