Transition

The brief pause from summer to fall

This is the last little lull for a while, the brief pause between the height of summer and the highs of harvest.

We've just returned to BC from judging the World Wine Awards of Canada; you can read Anthony's Final Blend report on the competition posted on WineAlign here. It seems like the world is busy, getting ready for school, organizing the fall quarter, or in the case of many vineyards through the Pacific Northwest and California, deep into an early harvest. We've taken advantage of the quietude by launching The Library on GOW, previewing the BC Winegrowers Series, and posting dozens of reviews (260 in August alone). The short interlude ends abruptly last week, as I'm off to South Africa for Cape Wine, Anthony is back up to the Okanagan, and we're all trying to keep up with fall releases.
