Marc Andre Hugel

By: Anthony Gismondi
13th generation on the verge of adding to the family legacy

Marc André Hugel is a member of the 13th generation of the famed Alsace wine producer Famille Hugel.

At the tender age of 29 he is about to become the technical director responsible for all production duties at the winery. We caught up with him late last month for a quick chat about the challenges ahead and for some brief insights into some classic Hugel labels sold in Canada: Gentil, Riesling Classic and coming on fast, the Pinot Noir. (Look for them in your favourite local private wine shop).
