The National Wine Awards of Canada

The 2018 Wine Align National Wine Awards are complete.

The results of Canada’s largest competition for 100 percent Canadian grown wines are being published this week and next. This year's competition attracted over 1850 wines from 257 wineries. As head judge, I can say with certainty that any wine awarded a medal is well worth investigating, and it should be obvious that the platinum and gold medal winners are outstanding in their class. Meanwhile, back at the GOW tasting ranch, Treve and I are catching up on our local notes as a result of the competition and several forays into the BC wine country this summer. We are also very close to launching our Real Wine program (more to come soonest) and we will also be releasing our latest GOW videos involving wineries in BC, California and Italy. Enjoy the summer.
