Anthony Gismondi on Wine

Viña Errázuriz announced today that Eduardo Chadwick, President of Viña Errázuriz, has purchased the 50% share that the Robert Mondavi Corporation held in Viña Seña.

With this acquisition, the Chadwick family has acquired complete control over the future of the Seña and Arboleda brands worldwide.

Eduardo Chadwick remarked:  "I had the privilege of meeting Robert Mondavi in 1991 when he first came to Chile,  and discovered that our vision and goals were common: to produce a flagship wine from Chile to be in the company of the best wines of the world,  showcasing Chile´s potential as a world class wine producing country. Since then, together with Robert, Tim and Michael Mondavi we developed Seña and Arboleda to an internationally recognized status, playing a significant role in the quality positioning of the Chilean wine industry worldwide."

"I take this opportunity to thank the Mondavi family for their great contribution in the creation of these wonderful wines, especially Seña, the first Chilean Icon wine. It has been my family's pleasure and honour to work alongside the Mondavi Family in crafting this wine, which aspires to represent the best of Chile to the  world" .

Eduardo Chadwick continued: "Now, I take the challenge, together with our skilful team of professionals, to continue developing these wines based on the excellence of our terroirs in the Aconcagua valley and in our passion for quality."
