Daryle Nagata Heads Up Kitchen at the Pan Pacific Hotel

Vancouver, BC (May 28, 2007) - Steve Halliday, general manager, Pan Pacific Vancouver is pleased to announce the appointment of Daryle Nagata as executive chef.

Nagata comes to the Pan Pacific Vancouver with a varied and accomplished international background including experience at the exclusive Savoy in London and the five star Hotel La Reserve in Genève as well as opening executive chef at the Fairmont in Washington DC where he served as personal chef to numerous heads of state and celebrities. While in DC, he was also appointed to the tasting board of the illustrious Culinary Institute of America. But the lure of home has brought him back to what he loves best - the savvied Vancouver hotel food & beverage scene. 

Best known locally for his brilliant, elaborate herb garden, Chef Nagata will again be delighting hotel dining guests with his home-grown fresh herbs infused in his unique dishes - everything from savoury saffron to exotic marshmallow and candied ginger. 

Nagata admits "Vancouverites were always good to me but I kind of lost touch when I left for DC". 

Now eager to be back, he genuinely invites his long-standing foodie friends to find him at the Pan Pacific Vancouver where he will be putting his own creative stamp on all the hotel's cuisine from the elegant bistro dining in Cafe Pacifica's iconic marble and glass atrium with its legendary Sunday market brunch and signature opera buffet to the equally breath-taking waterfront casual in the Cascades Lounge and Patio.
