Calgary, AB - The coveted Winery of the Year Award at the Wine Access 2009 Canadian Wine Awards was a hotly contested prize. Wine Access magazine will reveal the winning winery on November 2nd, but in the meantime, we want to share the top 10 names vying for the Winery of the Year award. It's a prestigious honour to make the Canadian Wine Awards' Top Ten List as laid out in the 2009 Performance Report. Wine Access magazine will reveal the entire Top 25 List of Canadian wineries along with complete Canadian Wine Awards results in its December/January issue due out on newsstands December 1st. This year's 9th annual Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards, Canada's definitive snapshot of the domestic industry, was held in Toronto in late August. In all, 157 wineries entered 981 wines in the quest to be named the nation's best. Below we present the top 10 contenders for the Wine Access 2009 Canadian Wine Awards Winery of the Year title.
