To All Canadian Wineries:

July 15, 2004--The Fourth Annual Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards will be held in late August at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Lake Louise, Alberta. The submission deadline for wines is August 13, 2004.  All wines must reach shipping consolidation points and all entry forms must be faxed to Toronto by this date.  We encourage you to begin submission by August 3.

The Canadian Wine Awards are now owned by the new publishers of Wine Access - RedPoint Media Group of Calgary. During this transitional year much of the co-ordination will be administered by the former publisher of WA, Jim Williamson, and Daryl Angier of Warwick Communications in Toronto.  Editor, David Lawrason and executive editor, Anthony Gismondi will still oversee the judging process.

Results will be announced in November with a series of national promotional events now under consideration. A new element this year will be the publication of a Canadian Wine Annual 2005. The stand-alone issue will contain complete CWA results along with additional detailed information on the Canadian wineries, travel in Canadian wine country and much more which should extend its "shelf life" on the newsstands and at the winery for most of 2005.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding shipping, please contact Daryl Angier at (416) 596-1480 ext. 231. If you have questions regarding the judging process or post-competition procedures, please contact David Lawrason at (416) 423-6956 or Don House at (403) 232-7702.
