BC Winegrowers 2023 Viticulturist of the Year digs into a new terroir

Breaking News: Longtime Tinhorn Creek Vineyards viticulturist Andrew Moon joins Michael Bartier and the Bartier Bros Vineyard & Winery team.

The BC Grapegrowers' Association 2023 Viticulturist of the Year emigrated from Australia to Canada in 2009 to work at Tinhorn Vineyards, where former partner/owners Sandra and Ken Oldfield dubbed him a "once in a lifetime employee," who led the vineyard team but also made them better leaders. Today, Moon is one of the most respected growers in the Okanagan Valley. The region is reeling from successive years of winter damage, so we can imagine Moon's arrival at Bartier will allow the team to do what they need to do to keep up their impeccable standards while Moon sorts out the grapes from the ground up.
