A COVID-19 Update from the BCWI

Cancellations and Postponements

March 13, 2020, The BC Wine Institute (BCWI) is closely monitoring the rapidly evolving COVID-19 updates to ensure we're complying with all measures to help reduce the spread.

At the direction of the Province and Provincial Health Authority, we have made the necessary decision to postpone our upcoming spring events and tastings as the health and safety of all exhibitors and attendees is our number one priority.

POSTPONED: CHEF MEETS BC GRAPE

NEW DATES

The BCWI will re-issue already purchased tickets for the upcoming Chef Meets BC Grape events taking place in Vancouver and Calgary valid for the new dates. Refunds will also be provided upon request.

POSTPONED: WINES OF BRITISH COLUMBIA AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The spring programs will be rescheduled as soon as it deems appropriate.

Fall programs are currently scheduled aligning with the Fall BC VQA Tasting events noted above.

POSTPONED: BC WINE VINTAGE MEDIA PREVIEW

The Vintage Media Preview scheduled for April 9 in Vancouver will be rescheduled as soon as it deems appropriate.

INTERNATIONAL TASTINGS

POSTPONED: ProWein 2020 postponed to next year (March 21 to 23, 2021)

The new dates are the regular trade fair dates from Sunday, March 21 to Tuesday, March 23, 2021. 

POSTPONED: TASTE CANADA NEW YORK CITY TABLE TOP TASTING

The Taste Canada NYC scheduled for March 24, 2020 has been cancelled. The BCWI is working with regional associations, Global Affairs Canada and the Consulate General of Canada in New York to look at potential dates for rescheduling the event.
