Robin Ridge Gamay 2014
Keremeos, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA solid performer most years now, this Similkameen take on the great Beaujolais grape is slightly richer and denser but still has a firm, stony undercurrent. The attack is lively with black cherry fruit leading the way with a warm savoury, cinnamon undercurrent. Cru level weight and heft here. You can serve this with pork, roast chicken or soft cheeses to best effect. Tasty and ready to drink but it should improve in the bottle over the next three years.Tasted: 02 January 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.90 | 750ml | winery direct, private retail, restaurants |
