Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaFrom older bush vines, planted from 1889 to 1972 (average planting 1944) across Barossa's valley floor, this was partial whole bunch, and had a lengthy maceration period along with a native ferment in stainless. Post ferment, 50% spends 10 months in older barrels prior to bottling. Floral violet, juicy plum, dusky blackberry are woven through this fuller bodied wine, surprisingly alight with an easy acidity, wrapped with long, slightly tacky tannins, and finishing with a dusting of pink peppercorn.
