Tuscany, ItalyThe Casale del Bosco Brunello comes from the estate's northwestern, sunset-facing side of Montalcino. The soils and cooler exposure give this Brunello a more elegant jacket that feeds on complexity rather than power. The nose is highly expressive and inviting, with that Tuscan countryside character. On the palate, black cherry, red currant, and dried roses give way to cedar, leather, and a mineral finish. Long and polished, it delivers a satisfying, persistent aftertaste. The excellent 2019 vintage delivers now and will remain a factor through 2029 and beyond.
