Vinos de Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, SpainSan MartÃn is a darker, high-altitude Garnacha with more attitude. The nose is alive with wild berry and intense, spicy Mediterranean dried herbs. The palate is silky, soft, and intense, with fresh blueberry and red berry, jasmine, and pepper that carry through a long, persistent finish. An intellectual version of garnacha that requires contemplation and food. Framed by ripe, soft tannins, fruit and peppery spice build through the long, energetic finish. The wine is from 80 year old vines grown over granite soils more than 800 metres above sea level.
