Narrative XC Sparkling 2025
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI call this Prosecco-like spritzer a rosé, though the winery doesn't seem to think so. The blend is auxerrois and chardonnay, fermented in concrete, stainless steel, and large barrels, with a dose of pinot noir juice added to create the colour. The nose is highly attractive, reminiscent of fresh berries with a hint of herbal rhubarb for complexity. The texture is creamy, with refined, persistent bubbles in a sparkling wine that says, "Have Fun." I love the easy to use screw cap and lightweight bottle, which makes it environmentally friendly.
