Muscadet, Pays Nantais, Loire, FranceVallet is a serious muscadet, well beyond the simple, one-layer oyster-white. The nose is bright, with strong citrus and green apple notes and an inviting saline/mineral edge. Some 30 months of fine lees ageing fill out the mid-palate, adding an almost silky texture without losing the nervy acidity and Melon de Bourgogne's Atlantic freshness. Persistent, savoury, and beautifully balanced, with citrus and salty-mineral flair.
