Rhone Valley, FranceAs the price suggests, this is a more serious Côtes-du-Rhône. The nose and palate are packed with intense Grenache flavours of ripe raspberry, strawberry, and bramble berry. Licorice, garrigue, and pepper add a spicy, savoury undercurrent that carries through to the finish. The tannins are fresh but well controlled. The fruit was aged for eight to 12 months in concrete-only vats, lending the wine finesse and elegance.
