Clos du Soleil Capella 2025

British Columbia, CanadaThe '25 Capella blend is 80% sauvignon blanc and 20% sémillon, pulling it away from New Zealand or Loire style toward the Bordeaux matrix. It is a kinder, gentler white wine, mostly fermented in French oak puncheons, principally with wild yeast. Twenty percent of the sauvignon underwent malolactic fermentation, and everything spent nine months in barrel on lees with stirring. Only selected barrels went into the final blend. Look for a light mid-palate of grapefruit, gooseberry, and lime, with a dash of honeysuckle and saline in the finish. A bit low on intensity but ready to drink. The sauvignon comes from Les Collines Vineyard in Keremeos; the sémillon comes from Dhaliwal Bros Vineyard in Oliver.Tasted: 03 October 2026Tasted by: Prices:
