Madrid, SpainThe colour is head-turning pale, leaning more toward a serious rosé than a conventional garnacha red. Floral violets preview its fresh berry notes, highly refined silky textures, lip smacking, lively acidity dusted with light tannins and peppercorn. The finish is medium-long and very dry. It is ready to drink. Serve chilled to accentuate the fruit and finesse, as it needs food to tame its acidity. Cinco Leguas is a project by winemakers Marc Isart and Miguel Santiago, and their Irish importers, Vinos Tito. The Rompecepas comes from organic vines in San Martín, Gredos, at 830m above sea level, grown in sandy soils.Tasted: 25 October 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Madrid, SpainCinco Leguas is a newer project from winemaker Marc Isart, Miguel Santiago, and their Irish importers Vinos Tito. Rompecepas Garnacha, now with a smart new label, comes from organic vines in San Martín, Gredos, planted at 830m in sandy soils. This was destemmed with a short 5 day maceration in concrete before aging 9 months in 500L barrels and 700L tinajas. Pouring a lighter red hue, this slender garnacha works fresh cherries, raspberries, wild strawberries along the palate, with a finely raspy texture, and a slight nub of tannins on the pink peppercorn dushed finish. A very stripped down take, best enjoyed as intended, with a slight chill.Tasted: 02 October 2026Tasted by: Prices:
