Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesA Washington replacement chardonnay comes with all the bells and whistles. Sweet vanilla runs through the wine, blending ripe Golden Delicious and Honeycrisp apple with tropical pineapple and a baked apple pie finish. It is easy to sip and shows some restraint, perhaps a nod to its BC winemakers. In short, it is a slightly drier Washington chardonnay and a slightly sweeter Okanagan chardonnay. A collaboration, indeed.
