Gérard Bertrand Aigle Impérial Crémant de Limoux Brut Nature 2015

Limoux, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThe first written record of the Abbey of Saint-Hilaire dates to 1825. Located near Limoux, the abbey is linked to the monks credited with uncovering the secret of sparkling wine. This dry, firm sparkler is aromatic and expressive, opening with white flowers, honey, green apple, toasted almond, yellow lemon peel, and white pepper. After 11 years, it has evolved into a distinctly gastronomic wine, lively and fresh at first, then richer and fuller, with notes of canned peach, grilled almond, toast, and brioche. The cuvée is based on chardonnay, supported by chenin blanc and pinot noir. Serve it with fine goat cheese, or take it in a sweeter direction alongside dessert.Tasted: 07 September 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
