Mendoza, ArgentinaGiramundo is winemaker Felipe Stahlschmidt's personal project. He works extensively in Paraje Altamira, though his malbec comes from Vista Flores. The '21 is dense and dark, with refined, savoury black and red fruit, chalky tannins, and ten months of oak aging in used oak that builds texture and adds smoky vanilla notes. Modern, rich, and ready to drink, but there is no rush. Pair now with burgers or grilled steak, or a rich fall vegetable pan roasted in the oven.
