Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom Felipe Stahlschmidt's Giramundo project, this Eugenio Bustos sourced cabernet from San Carlos, one of the cooler southern reaches of Mendoza's Uco Valley, features a later, cooler '21 Mendoza vintage, all about freshness and firmness in its dry black fruit core. Expect cassis, blackberry and dark cherry with a minty, spicy, peppery, cedary oak frame. The palate is dense, with firm tannins, savoury herbal edges, and enough acidity to keep it moving. Best with grilled beef, lamb, empanadas, or aged cheeses.
