Tuscany, ItalyRomitorio is an older style Super Tuscan, featuring a 50/50 blend of syrah and petit verdot grown in Maremma and aged in concrete and oak. The nose is dark berried, with floral violets underscoring its rich palate. The attack layers black fruits, wild forest floor, dried herbs, and Tuscan countryside scents. It is stylish enough for a Super Tuscan but slightly more approachable and affordable than most. You can enjoy this with a steak or an old piece of Reggiano.
