Sandhill Secco NV

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe inaugural Secco from the Peller Group under the Sandhill label blends chardonnay (80%) and pinot noir (20%). The wine is bright straw coloured, with abundant, fine, persistent bubbles. Green apple and lemon carry through to the palate. Fresh and lean, it's best served as an aperitif with food. Freshly shucked oysters, vegetable gyoza, or a warm round of brie come quickly to mind. Ready to drink, this is made using the Charmat method: the base wine is fermented in stainless steel, then transferred to a pressurized stainless steel tank with sugar and sparkling wine yeast for a second fermentation, before being filtered and bottled under pressure.Tasted: 11 August 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
