Puglia, ItalyMasseria is one of the Tommasi family estates, owning 80 hectares in Manduria, in Apulia's Salento region. This pure primativo fermented warm in stainless over 2 weeks before a 15 months rest in oak. Super ripe, with baked plum, blueberry compote, caramelized brown sugar, downy violets along a velvet palate, with sueded tannins giving a nubby grip through a brief, bitter cocoa, super plum finish.
