Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe newest vineyard designated riesling in the Martin's Lane portfolio comes from Tombolo, a steep, amphitheatre shaped site in Lake Country, planted at more than 10,000 vines per hectare. The high density vineyard yields small bunches, tiny yields, and elevated, concentrated fruit without sacrificing natural acidity. Aromas of lime zest, green apple, delicate white blossoms and wet stone leap from the glass. Despite 35 g/L of residual sugar, the palate remains vibrant and focused, driven by piercing acidity and a mineral spine that keeps every flavour in balance. Citrus, tropical fruit, orchard fruit, and lime persist through a long, energetic finish marked by precision and freshness. A compelling example of how site, acidity, and restraint can transform sweetness into texture and complexity rather than weight.
