Martin's Lane Naramata Ranch Vineyard Riesling 2025
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Naramata Ranch is a spectacular site with topography and geology that is a winegrower's dream. It's mostly rock, but upon closer examination, you find a mix of red granite on the surface overlying granite bedrock. The vines are approaching 50 years old, rooted to an unknown clone. On the palate, the style is generally opulent, with floral opening notes and a mix of lemon, lime, and the zest of limes and oranges, with a touch of savoury desert scrub. Complex and dry, it is currently somewhat unsettled and warming, but will no doubt harmonize over the next ten years under screwcap.
