La Celia Elite Paraje Altimira Malbec 2024

Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThis is a delicious malbec. The Altamira style tends to emphasize intense red fruit and florals, with surprising richness on the palate layered with these sweet, chalky tannins. Acidity keeps it fresh throughout, and it finishes with spice and toasted vanilla from French oak aging. It was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels with minimal new oak, then for a further two months in concrete before bottling, and aged at least four months at the winery. An impressive wine, but it hasn't been sold in Canada yet.Tasted: 27 August 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
