Château Coupe-Roses Bastide 2024
Minervois, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceI have a soft spot for Languedoc red blends like this carignan, grenache, cinsault, and syrah, and Minervois is a region I'm naturally drawn to. Château Coupé-Roses Bastide fits the bill: biodynamically farmed and made from estate fruit grown in the Haut-Minervois. It opens with inviting aromas of violets and ripe fruit, led by old-vine carignan notes of crushed raspberry and dark plum, with the region's signature garrigue herbs in the background. Smooth, ready to drink, and highly approachable, it disappeared quickly alongside grilled sausages. Coupé-Roses is based in La Caunette, a small Minervois village near the Montagne Noire, with vineyards planted on limestone uplands between 250 and 400 metres above sea level.Tasted: 18 August 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $29.00 | 750ml | select private retailers |
