It is a serious yet friendly pinot with a fruity overtone of darker berries, reflecting one of the warmest years on record. Oak ageing has been reduced by another month to nine months, further preserving site character and fruit purity. Open and attractive in its youth, this sophisticated pinot noir speaks to the North Okanagan and to the work of former winemaker Taylor Whelan, current winemaker Andrés Pizzaro, and viticulturist Kurt Simic. As the vineyard ages and Pizzaro makes light tweaks, this is a label you can look to for excellence in most years. Drink or hold, there is no rush here.
