Tantalus Chardonnay Mio Vineyard 2024

Ontario, CanadaOne of Tantalus' 2024 CIBC / replacement wines, this fruit came from Niagara's Mio Vineyard, and was whole bunch pressed and settled over 2 days at Southbrook Winery before cool shipping to their East Kelowna winery. It was then native fermented in French oak (30% new) followed by 10 months on lees with partial MLF and no bâtonnage. Ripe and lees-led, with lemon curd, creamed corn, and toasty wood spice seasoning a somewhat watery core. A tricky vintage to be sure, but if you're a fan of fresher wooded styles, seek this out.Tasted: 05 July 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
