Plume Cabernet Franc Bacchus Block 2024
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThe 2024 cabernet franc is part of Quails' Gate's new Plume Collection, created from Washington State fruit filling the gap left by the severe 2024 BC winter freeze. The grapes came from the nearby Columbia Valley in Washington, were hand picked, and were transported under refrigeration to West Kelowna, where winemaker Jeff Del Nin and the Quails' Gate team made the wine. Round and inviting, it is already a lot of fun to drink, which is something that appears to be a Plume trademark. The wine was aged 16 months in French oak (40% new, 60% neutral) and the results are attractive. Look for aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and violets that blend into ripe red and black fruit, with lightly roasted peppers adding a touch of complexity to the finish. Polished and fragrant, this wine is ready to drink through 2030.Tasted: 24 July 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $45.00 | 750ml | winery direct/online |
