Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDiversion is a new release from Moon Curser, though one wonders whether they need another red label. The 46/34/21 blend of cabernet franc, syrah, and cabernet sauvignon opens with an expressive South Okanagan nose, floral and desert scrub threaded through ripe plums and a touch of black pepper, with dry tannins yet to shed. The winery suggests pairing it with a wild mushroom and lentil stew, charred eggplant, or a favourite Bolognese dish. There is no rush to drink this wine, as it will easily age another five years in the bottle. The fruit comes from three South Okanagan vineyards planted on sand to loamy sand, with silica and granite.Tasted: 28 June 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of the very few Okanagan 2024 reds to survive the cold snap, Diversion blends 46% cabernet franc, 34% syrah, and 21% cabernet sauvignon from Osoyoos fruit. The destemmed, uncrushed fruit underwent a warm ferment in stainless before moving to 225L French barriques (28% new) for 1 year. Deep and dark blackberry, cassis, dark plum, dark chocolate work through the full, muscular frame, with youthful tannins poking through, and ample baking spice sticking to the finish. Give this a little more time to settle in your cellar, and enjoy with fuller roasted meats / veg.Tasted: 20 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:
