Lake Chelan, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesConfiscated is Moon Curser's CIBC / Replacement wines from the 2024 vintage, and in this case the fruit comes from Clos CheValle Vineyard in Washington's Lake Chelan. The destemmed, uncrushed fruit was fermented warm in 5000L stainless, before moving to 225L French and American barrels (22% new) for 1 year. Baked cherry, tart raspberry is seasoned with toasted cedar, and wrapped with stemmy, wood shaved tannins, finishing with a bitter chocolate bite.
