Similar to their Okanagan wines, this was destemmed and went to a warm ferment in stainless uncrushed, prior to 1 year in 225L French barriques (37% new). You can feel all of that Southern Washington heat in the 15% here, with baked blackberries, boysenberry jam on the thick, dense palate. Ample chewy tannins lead you to a brown spiced finish. If you're looking for a hedonistic, powerful pairing for your weekend striploin, this will certainly do the trick. It's not a steal at $46.99, but it could easily replace a lot of California cab at the same price.
