Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaModesta continues to impress with its mostly modern take on Okanagan Chardonnay. The '25 is slightly cooler in style, as we hoped, with plenty of aromatics and a dusting of spice. The lean lemon notes on entry set the scene for a fresh, somewhat vertical Chardonnay with plenty to offer diners. Look for pear and lemon, with a rounder almond texture breaking through in the finish. Subtle complexity and length fill out this modest wine.
