Gerard Bertrand Esprit de Cote des Roses Brut Rosé NV
Sud de France, FranceThe Esprit de Cote des Roses Brut Rosé is a unique blend of pinot noir, grenache noir, and chardonnay, Bertrand's ode to the Mediterranean way of life that combines generosity with surprising freshness. With a pale salmon hue, it opens with wild strawberry, raspberry, and pink grapefruit, then moves to a creamy, leesy palate of red fruit and citrus. This barrel-aged reserve wine adds an extra layer of complexity, with freshness and a touch of savoury or garrigue minerality: an elegant apéritif and versatile food wine.Tasted: 12 August 2026Tasted by: Prices:
Gerard Bertrand Esprit de Cote des Roses Brut Rosé NV
Sud de France, FranceThis new bubbly release in the Cote des Roses line uses the iconic rose imprinted glass base as others in the line. This charmat method pink blends pinot noir, grenache, and chardonnay from the foothills of the Pyrenees and Cévennes, in the south of France's limestone, schist, and gravels. The base wines are blended with reserve rosé wines aged in barrel before heading to tank for a secondary ferment. Pouring a pale hue, with very gentle effervescence, this dry pink streams subtle strawberry, cherry blossoms, and orange peel, with a sharpened bitter rhubarb twist to close the finish. Chill well and crack now with canapés, or in a sparkling rosé Kir Royale.Tasted: 04 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:
