Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceOrganically and biodynamically grown at the foot of the Rhône's Mount Ventoux, this blend of 60% grenache, 40% syrah is from 30ish year old vines, in limestone / clay / terra rosa soils at 250 - 350m. After a fermentation and maceration over 2 weeks in stainless and concrete, this remains for a short stint in concrete prior to bottling. The syrah is at the fore here, with wild blackberry, boysenberry, crushed violets, and peppercorns, wrapped with furry / sticky tannins, and kissed with grenache's sweet red fruit on the warming finish. A friendly, easy, and smart choice for kebabs or grilled sausages. Very good value.Tasted: 23 October 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe Pesquié Terrasses Rouge is a mainstay in the French section of government liquor stores, and it's no secret why. It is a very good wine, and the price is equally attractive. It is grown organically at the foot of Mount Ventoux on stony limestone mixed with iron oxide, sands, and clays. The blend is 60/40 grenache/syrah. The nose is a black raspberry and mulberry affair, while the palate is a juicy, full flavoured, easy drinking, meaty, earthy red with a stony mineral undertone. Think pizzas, barbecued kebabs, charcuterie plates, and more. Ventoux is uniquely positioned to combine the richness of the South with the firmness and restraint of the North, and they do it well at Pesquié.Tasted: 17 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:
