Ailm Barrel Fermented Rosé 2025
West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe inaugural Ailm Rosé is an impressive barrel fermented pink that slots itself "between old-world texture and new-world freshness." The nose is mostly floral, with subtle red fruit. Similarly, the palate opens with tart Seville orange, lightly creamy textures, and a hit of red cherries. It's lean but balanced with an attractive ripe cherry that brightens the mid-palate and graceful finish. This pinot noir is grown on a small, hand harvested, sloping single block on the Quails' Gate estate in West Kelowna. It is a blend of clones 115, 114, and 165. It is whole cluster pressed, and the free run juice is separated and cold-settled for 48 hours in stainless steel before going into neutral French oak barrels for fermentation and six months aging with some gentle lees stirring before blending and bottling.Tasted: 13 July 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $38.00 | 750ml | winery online/direct |
