Whistler Atypical Shiraz 2024

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLook for a vibrant purple colour and generous blueberry, black olive, and savoury dried herbs. The palate is rich in red and dark fruit, supported by soft tannins and a lighter, fresher drink-now style, hence the ‘Atypical' moniker. The winery describes it as "a new chapter in the Barossa Shiraz history book." Atypical blends Barossa Valley floor fruit with 15% from the G & H blocks on the estate. A small portion of whole bunches joins the wild-fermented berries in small and medium sized open fermenters. After 15 days of hand plunging and pump-overs, the wine is pressed off and aged in French oak for six months.Tasted: 21 June 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
