Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaVancouver Island seems a logical home for gewürztraminer, given its cool coastal conditions, where freshness and full aromatic development seem easy. We have not seen this edition for years, but we are happy to see the Saison name applied to this label, lending it the gravitas of that meticulously cared for site. Expect a fragrant, distinctly coastal gewürztraminer with rose petal, litchi, and tangerine that spill across the palate, with more tropical fruit, ginger spice, and citrus, like its Alsace ancestors.
