Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Cowichan Valley's Zanatta vineyard, and its silty clay soils, this rarely seen pinot auxerrois was whole bunch pressed, native fermented, and rested 8 months in neutral French oak. Bright and lively, with grapefruit, lime pith and peel, Asian pear sailing through a sleek palate, with some crunchy green apple, ginger spice, and ample marine salinity to season. A lovely lighter white to take with sushi or subtlely spiced Thai green curries.Tasted: 16 August 2026Tasted by: Prices:
Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaPinot auxerrois is a small production label at Unsworth, with only a handful of barrels made each year. Yet this is an electric white, wild fermented and packed with tart, lemon- aced fruit. It is an ideal wine for spaghetti vongole, a Margherita pizza, or any dish that needs a splash of lemon. It's ready to drink now but should hold well through 2028. Unsworth Auxerrois vines were planted in the early 1990s at the Zanatta Vineyard in the Cowichan Valley.Tasted: 27 June 2026Tasted by: Prices:
