Tantalus Pinot Noir Looney Vineyard 2024

Ribbon Ridge, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThe 2024 cold snap provided winemaker David Paterson with the opportunity to return to Looney Vineyard, which he had worked with back in 2007 during his time at Archery Summit. Located in the Willamette Valley's Ribbon Ridge, a warmer sub-AVA of the Chehalem Mountains, it's very much true to form: savoury and mineral, with dusty dark cherry and wild berries framed by generous toast and clove. There's certainly a wild character here, with a richness that's carried by the fresh acidity. Serious value at $35.99, and very much a wine for the cellar, too.Tasted: 18 May 2026Tasted by: Prices:
