Tantalus Pinot Noir Looney Vineyard 2024

Ribbon Ridge, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThis 2024 PN was one of Tantalus' series of replacement / Crafted in BC (CIBC), and the same site as their earlier released 2024 Rosé. This pinot noir was sourced from Looney Vineyard in Oregon's Ribbon Ridge AVA, a site winemaker David Paterson worked on many years ago as an itinerant intern. This was handpicked in early October and rested overnight before shipping to Kelowna for processing the next day (leaving 25% whole cluster). All was native fermented, with 1 year in French oak (25% new) before bottling. Perfumed dark plums, plumped boysenberry, crushed purple florals is seasoned with balsam and brightened with a fresh rhubarb acidity, easily lifting the woodwork through a spiced finish. A lovely, darker shaded result for a challenging vintage. Partner with duck or lamb kabobs.Tasted: 19 June 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
