Silvio Carta Cagnulari Po Tui 2023
Sardinia, ItalySilvio Carta founded his eponymous company in Baratili San Pietro in the 1950’s, devoting himself to making traditional wines and spirits of the region. Sixty years on, Silvio, together with his son Elio, the latter at the head since 1973, still devote themselves to these aims. Cagnulari is a rare indigenous Sardinian grape variety, here shown as a soloist. Fragrant black cherry, deep plum, boysenberry, wild flowers, and scrubby herbs flows along a juicy palate, with finely sticky, well integrated tannins.
