Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSouth Rock Vineyard, the southernmost site on Oliver's Golden Mile Bench (British Columbia's first official Sub-GI) is home to some of the oldest vines in the Okanagan. The 2021 Solus shows better balance than the 2020, with fruit and tannins more seamlessly integrated and a marked lift in drinkability. The attack is generous, mixing savoury desert scrub with fresh blackberry and blueberry. Alcohol feels less prominent, and the finish is balanced by dense, sweet, refined tannins and a subtle hint of milk chocolate.
