Rust Wine Co. Pinot Noir 2024

Chehalem Mountain , Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThis is Willamette Valley fruit from Finnigan Hill Vineyard in the Laurelwood District, a sub-AVA of the Chehalem Mountains. The district takes its name from Laurelwood soil, marked by windblown loess over fractured basalt. The wine is initially reticent under screwcap, but it opens up to reveal crunchy, pure red cherry and raspberry, with a touch of perfume and spice. There's a clear cool climate character here, true to the Chehalem Mountains, with juicy acidity and fine, polished tannins. Excellent value at $34 from winemaker Ryan de Witte.Tasted: 28 June 2026Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
