Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Elsa 2020

Margaret River, Western Australia, AustraliaFrom Margaret River's Wilyabrup region, and the eastern part of Ribbon Vale Vineyard, this richer sauvignon blanc is tipped with 10% of sémillon, upping the style factor significantly. It was settled for 48 hours in stainless before being racked to a fresh tank for inoculated ferment. It then moved to French barriques (6% new) to complete fermentation and MLF. Post-ferment the wine was blended in stainless, and then back into barrel for 9 months' rest. Pouring a shining yellow hue, this fuller white sits on the palate with yellow apple, green apple, lemon pith and peel, and lime blossom, all atop a cloud of downy lees, and swirls of toasty wood seasoning. One to crack with richer dishes like Dungeness crab or decadent lobster risotto.Tasted: 17 June 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
